Action on Recent Outages
Collect resident reports, identify neighborhood patterns, and ask for public explanations about repeated outages, restoration timelines, and planned reliability improvements.
Resident-led. Transparent. Local.
Dartmouth Outage Voice & Energy Alliance
A grassroots Dartmouth resident effort to organize during infrastructure instability, document power reliability concerns, and ask for clear answers from the institutions responsible for serving our town.
Dartmouth DOVE Alliance is being built for all Dartmouth residents, including seniors, disabled residents, people without smartphones, people without reliable internet, and people who are not comfortable using online forms. No resident should be excluded because they do not use a smartphone, social media, or the internet.
Mission
Dartmouth DOVE Alliance exists to help Dartmouth residents organize more effectively when power reliability, infrastructure communication, and utility costs affect daily life.
This is not a replacement for emergency reporting. Active outages should still be reported directly to Eversource, and emergencies should be handled through emergency services. Dartmouth DOVE Alliance is for documentation, follow-up, public accountability, and resident coordination.
A Note From Jackie
I am looking for help from interested Dartmouth residents and community members to make this real, responsible, and useful. I do not yet know exactly who to reach out to, which is part of why I am starting publicly and transparently.
I am someone who has given up a lot for the public before, and I believe I can use my energy for this too. I cannot do this alone, but I can help start it, organize it, document it, and invite in people who are interested in helping.
Priorities
Collect resident reports, identify neighborhood patterns, and ask for public explanations about repeated outages, restoration timelines, and planned reliability improvements.
Ask how Dartmouth is advocating for residents as utility delivery costs, electricity supplier choices, and household bills become harder to understand and harder to afford.
Push for clearer information about maintenance, tree work, vulnerable circuits, emergency planning, and the upgrades needed for a more reliable local grid.
Advocate for timely, plain-language updates so residents know where to look, who is responsible, and what actions are being taken before, during, and after infrastructure disruptions.
How It Works
Name and email are required for follow-up. Everything else is optional.
Patterns can be reviewed by neighborhood without publicly exposing individual addresses.
Actions and decisions will be made transparently and communicated clearly to participating members.
Aggregated or anonymized information may be shared publicly or with officials only if a majority of participating members votes to allow it.
Privacy And Consent
This is a resident-led, grassroots organizing effort. The privacy standard is simple: collect only what helps residents organize, keep personal information private, and make decisions transparently.
Your private contact information will not be posted publicly. Your street address, phone number, and outage details will not be shared with third parties as individual personal information without your permission.
Individual names, street addresses, phone numbers, and personal stories will not be published or sent to officials in a way that identifies you unless you separately agree.
Aggregated or anonymized information may be shared publicly or with officials only if a majority of participating members votes to allow it.
Example: "Residents from multiple Dartmouth neighborhoods reported outages lasting 3-6 hours."
Verification
Scammers can copy names, logos, and public information. The safest rule is to verify through the official website and contact information before trusting any unexpected message, link, request, or attachment.
Open the verification pageEach mailed letter, text correspondence, and phone blast from DOVE Alliance will have a corresponding message posted on this website confirming that it was sent by this group.
Broad mailed outreach to residents who have not signed up will be sent through USPS, such as Every Door Direct Mail or another postage-paid mail option. Volunteers will not place materials directly into mailboxes.
Before any door-to-door visit or hand-delivered outreach, Dartmouth DOVE Alliance will check Dartmouth's No Soliciting or Canvassing List and follow applicable town rules, including respecting listed addresses, "no soliciting" signs, "no trespassing" signs, and any request to leave.
Do not click the link in the message. Type dartmouthdove.com directly into your browser, use the contact information listed there, and ask Jackie to confirm whether the message is real.
Resident Resources
Join Or Ask Questions
The resident sign-up form asks for optional information about address, outage history, impacts, and volunteer interest so the group can understand patterns and organize responsibly.
Anyone who wants to help this movement can join. You do not need special credentials to care about reliable power, transparent communication, and a town that works better for the people living in it. Please use the sign-up form or contact Jackie directly to join, volunteer, ask questions, or share how you would like to help.
Dartmouth DOVE Alliance is being built for all Dartmouth residents, including seniors, disabled residents, people without smartphones, people without reliable internet, and people who are not comfortable using online forms.
The website is one way to stay informed, but it will not be the only way. Residents may participate by filling out the online form, calling or texting 508-972-5566, speaking with Jackie in person, receiving mailed updates, asking for help submitting information, or sharing only the information they feel comfortable sharing.
No resident should be excluded from this effort because they do not use a smartphone, social media, or online forms.
